Final Lap Twin

Final Lap Twin is still one of my favorite RPG / Racing games I've played. The storyline is basically about being the World Camp of Racing, your Dad (on the game of coarse) gives you your car and $500 and he'll explain a few things to you, and basically you have to beat all 6 Local Champions before racing the World Champ.

If you ever played Pokemon Blue or Red, it is similar to this game when you are looking for pokemon in the grass, cave, etc, but instead when your not in a town, racers will come out, to race you (of course), when you win the race you'll get some cash to buy better parts for your car. Also like Pokemon, there are some hidden items you can not see, characters inside houses tell you where some of them are.

The Body, Fuel, Tires, Motor, and Wings are the parts of your car you can upgrade. The purpose of the Body is that it makes it easier to escape your enemies. The Fuel increases the amount of time you can use "Turbo", in order to use Turbo in a race press Up on the D-pad. The better the Tires the better tour not going to slide off to the side of the road while taking corners. The Motor is an obvious part, it'll increases your max speed. The Wings improves the ability to jump and increases the duration of your flights. So keep in mind what these parts do while your buying new parts, I suggest that you buy the tires first cause if you have a better motor than your tires, you'll be biting every corner you ever come across.

Mind you this is just the quest mode of Final Lap Twin, there is a Grand Prix mode were there is only just racing, so if your just looking for a quick race or two this is what you should play.
